I'll throw this out there , have an 86 f250 4x4 diesel and i am thinking of what lift to go. future plans include pulling horse trailer so i am limiting my lift to 4". Options are either 2-1/2 lift or 4' lift. i am going to stick with a 33' tire (i have 3.54 and dont want to change gears-c6 no OD). not sure if 285's would look out of place on a 4' lift? also axle is a ttb d44 so i don't want too big of a tire(305 or 12.5 33 tops)Honestley i would love a 6" lift w/35's but that wont work.I really think the 4" is the way to go. if i only go 2-1/2 i might as well just body lift it.I need 2 trucks !

Reason: misspelling
go the four inch... it will look a lot better and won't affect towing/hauling much
you need not to worry about your front axle for your intended purposes! it will last forever with a set of 33's on on the street 80% of the time. don't waste your money on a SAS if you don't plan to beat on it.
