Multi-function switch...?
A co-worker told me the other day that my left brakelight was out. I checked the bulb and it was OK, checked for power all the way from the taillight ***'y to the firewall connection...dead. Front signal works fine, but no brake/turn on the rear. I looked at both my Chilton's and Haynes' manuals, the wiring diagram shows the wire that's dead originating in the muti-function switch, but there is no other mention of it in either manual. Where is the durn thing located, anybody know, and is this likely to be my problem? Thanks, -TD

The EVTM for my 87 shows that the only difference between brake, turn signals & emergency flashers is in the multifunction switch. So if your emergency flashers are working, the multifunction switch is the problem
