Pals for Paws
Have any of you ever heard of Pals for Paws? I read about it in the paper yesterday, and wasn't sure if it was a local organization or not. They have "foster" homes for animals until they are adopted out. It is supposed to be better than a regular Humane Society place, as in they try not to kill any animals.

It's not the killing animals that makes Humane Societies bad, It's the inability to decide which animals are suitable as pets for which people. They just want to get rid of them so they can say they were "homed" with no thoughts that many of the animals that go through them return a few months to a year later. Rescue organizations are much more responsible with regards to temperment testing each animal and matching the animals to appropriate homes. It also goes without saying that some rescue organizations are complete wackos who do don't think anyone else can provide as decent a home as the rescue peoples. I have never heard of Pals for Paws, but that doesn't mean they aren't national.
