Engine rebuild/replace referral??

Hey All-

I've inquired about this on some other sites and haven't received much feedback, or at least real world experiences. I have a '99 Ranger 4.0L with about 120K miles and need to either replace or rebuild the engine and am looking for a good source for either. I'm located in the Bay/Sac area, so anything in between is fine as long as it is a good reputable source.

there is a machine shop in robbins that does good work ive used him a couple of times on some coustom engines. robbins is about 30 min north of woodland
