wrong type transmission fluid
I have 99 f150 with E40D transmission; well I used Mercon V last time I changed the transmission oil, and my tranny is acting up now.
if I flush it and put the right fluid type problem go way or I already damage the transmission? Oh by the way I drove about 5k miles since I changed the oil in transmission.thanks

At this point you have nothing to lose by changing fluids. It will either work, and save you some $$$$, or it won't work and you'll have to dig down deep anyway. BTW, verify the correct fluid type by pulling the transmission dipstick and reading the info stamped thereon.
