HELP...PS conversion problem
I am in the middle of converting my 74 f100 4x4 from ram assist to a power box off a '76 f150 4x4. Both are dana 44's with 3.50 gears. I went to install the tie rod ends into the spindles and they wont fit, they are bigger than my stock 74's were. My 74 has drum brakes but they are brand new so i didnt want to change to disc yet but i will if i have too. The disc brake axle off the 76 is in good shape except the pass side axle from the diff to teh u joint is busted cause the u joint blew and it broke the ends of the axle off. Will my drum brake drive axles work in the disc brake axle housing? Or can i bolt the disc brake knuckles/spindles on the drum brake axle housing and use my drum brake axles? What should i do? ANY help would be awesome. I'm leaving for school in a week so i have to get this done soon.
