New XM Radio install notes...

Just wanted to add my two cents to let you all know what has worked for me.
I've got a '03 F-150 Supercrew with OEM single CD player. I wanted a no wire, no equipment showing, no FM modulator, no casette type of install, so here's what I did:
XM Commander...control/display unit is installed in the overhead sunglass holder...up tight along the top, front edge...you can only see it with the sunglass holder open. Antenna mounted on front passenger side of roof...wire runs along and just under the window seal, into the pillar area and then in thru one of the slots under the door gasket. Then up under the dash. Main radio unit is in a narrow slot behind the glovebox, right side...you can not see the unit unless you drop the glovebox completely out of the way.
I got a "Ford XM DMX CMD V.1c" Audio Input Interface for the Ford, Merc '98-04 from BlitzSafe...they directed me to an on-line reseller called myradiostore.com for the actual purchase. Was about $130 including second day shipping. I worked with Mark at BlitzSafe Tech support, and actually sent him a digital photo of the back of the radio to be sure it would work.
Here's what The BlitzSafe is: Small black box with three wire harnesses that come from one end...a three wire harness that goes directly to the XM Commander Receiver(replaces the supplied power supply), large harness that has male & female 20 pin connectors...remove radio, unplug 20 pin connector, plug that one into female on the BlizSafe unit, plug new male into OEM radio unit; third harness is pair of RCA plugs that go directly into XM Commander Line Out...(no RF Mod, no Cassette adapter). This leves lone red wire, wich you use an in-line snap connector to steal power from the switched radio power line (black w/purple in my case). This supplies the BlitzSafe unit with power only when key is in Run or Accessory position. The BlitzSafe unit has now turned the CD button of the OEM radio into a toggle type switch...one push you get CD, another push you get XM.
I ran these leads through the dash into the same area behind the glovebox, made connections, then fastened unit into place with 3M double stick tape, cleaned up the wires...all set.
This is a nice clean, slick install that took only 1.5 hours, and I am not a pro.
