cut off 4.6l

if i were to cut off my exhaust right after the cats would it be louder and would i loose ne power? would appericate the help!

I ran my bronco with just the Y pipe for a few miles, and I noted that not only was the exhast note quiter than with my muffler, but also that it wasnt as peppy. Have you checked your states laws? Many state that you must run a muffler.

Yea it'll be louder, but not LOUD. The catalytic converter keeps a lot of sound in. When I cut mine off, I didn't notice any difference in power, just in sound
