302?
Is there anywhere on the engine that says what year it is or what it was originally in? I bought a used 1990 full size bronco about a year and a half ago. It originally had a 351 in it which the person I bought it from had it replaced with a used 302. I don't know what year it is or what it came out of. It's kinda hard to get parts for something if you don't know what year it is. It's an everyday driver so taking parts off to match it is a real pain. I also need to give it a good tuneup but don't know the firing order or what the timing is supposed to be set at.

Somebody actually swapped a 351 with a 302??? Weird. The 351 is regarded as a much better engine, it's more powerful for one.
They did petty little if anything to change the 302 over the years, basically, any year will do.
Look up the letters on your computer here:

If what you have is listed as an SD rather than a MAF computer, it needs to be changed out with a computer meant for the 302.

Yeah, they actually changed to a 302 (351 locked up). When the guy told me about that I couldn't believe it. It is a used P.O.S. 302 so I think he got it cheap instead of putting a 351 back in it. I got it real cheap too so I can't complain. The 4 wheel drive works good. How do I check the timing on it? I don't know what the timing is supposed to be.
