Help: tell me why???

I have a problematic 2004 psd cc 4x4. I have upgraded the front springs with a new leveling kit, new nerf bars, spray in bedliner etc. Ford has offered to buyback my truck but they want it all back to factory ie. make me take off the lift etc. is this right? why would they want the factory springs back on if i will just leave on the leveling kit? yes yes i know i should take it off and all but it seems to be a huge hassle for me that i am willing to part with. it means about a case of beer for me and my 2 helpers plus an extremely cold night outside doing it. does anybody know why they would be adament about returning it all the way to stock? is it because it is an "add on" that would make their $$$$ value of my truck go up?

Any help or comments would be very appreciated!

i would think it is a liability (sp) thing. they are going to fix your truck and then sell it and if it is not stock they can run into problems of something were to happen.
