79 4X4 crewcab
My question. Does the 79 4X4 shortbed crewcab share the same frame as anything else? I have a 79 F150 Supercab, long bed, that has the heavy duty frame F250/350 4X4 frame, but will the crewcab fit on that frame? (I have a 2 wheel drive crewcab that I would like to convert to 4X4 and was wondering if I can just move the cab and bed over to the the 4 by frame).
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob
Note; I know anything can be done with enough time & money. I just want to keep it simple with bolt together parts, not re-engineering. Thanks

The cab and bed will fit, but you will have an extra 5 inches between the cab and bed. CC short bed wheel base = 150 inches. SC long bed wheel base = 155 inches.
Oh, and you will also have to make/move a crossmember to carry the rear CC body mounts.
