Hey. I've got a 1985 ford f 150 short bed. It's got a freshly rebuilt 300 6 with a 4 speed trany with a grany gear. Its a sweet truck in perfict shape. I Wanted to Know what it would take to convert it to a 4 wd.
- Can i keep my tranny and just swap the tail housting to a transfer case
- What will fit with the stering and suspunsion. What will i need to swap.

Good luck with your conversion. Enjoy FTE
I just did the suspension part of it and am awaiting a driveshaft before I swap the tranny but it should be a direct bolt over if you can find a donor truck. If I had found a truck instead of a Bronco, I would be done by now. ANyway, here is my input for the one I did a couple weeks ago...... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...43#post2222843
