Just noticed today that Slick 50 is not suggested for diesels. Is there any additive that will help the engine? Or just stick with my Synthetic Oil alone? I change at suggested intervals, just want the engine to have all the help it can get.
Also I noted a conversation about a preluber. Have a 2001(actually its a 2002 engine) PSD. Do I have a preluber? Do I need one?
A preluber is an excellent aftermarket upgrade. To the best of my knowledge they weren't available as a factory option.
Stay away from all oil additives!
Stay away from all oil additives!
Stay away from all oil additives!
You'll just end up with foamy oil and a cantakerous engine.
Good source of preluber? Difficulty level to install? Appx cost?
I think I got it on the additives. Slick 50 in all my gas engines and 300K life normally-- oh well. The additive story for the PSD anyway is no, no, no, maybe no, probably no, most likely no, no if you are smart, no way jose...... no. Like the no storm
I have had my Pre-Luber since new on my truck. Actually at the first oil change at 1000 miles. Love it. Truck cranks right up WITH oil pressure every time. Check out
