Engine Continues Running with Key off!
I own a 1983 ranger. The problem is when I turn off the key the engine continues to run for 10-30 seconds. This doesn't always happen, sometimes it shuts off normally. This problem just started about 5 days ago. I haven't messed with any of the wiring. I had also just taken it to get smogged, where the mechanic told me it was running to lean due to a vaccuum leak. He "fattened" up the mixture and it passed fine. However, since that time I have repaired the vaccuum leak and was wandering if the "fatter" mixture could be causing this. I am running an MSD 6A Ignition with an Accel Super Coil and Acce 8mm wires. I have also replaced the ignition switch hoping it was the culprit but still no change. Please Help!!!
