I've got an 04 Supercrew 4x4 and wanted to acheive that level look in the rear.I ordered a set of lowering shackles from Belltech,p/n 6406 and installed over the weekend. They install easily and the truck is now level. One thing to note however is that the top of the shackles once installed, touches a box seam on the underside and will have to be tuned with a hammer or ground away 1/4 inch at the most.No biggy.
It's turned out to be more work than it's worth. For those with a 4x4 look at other options.I was told by a rep at BELLTECH that these shackle fit "all" models 2x4 and 4x4.NOT SO!!!
It's alot of dicken around to grind or bend the seams out of the way. What seemed easy at first has turned into a bigger job than I anticipated.I will proceed as I like the level look but I wish whoever I talked to at Belltech knew what he was takling about.
