Using DryGas for COLD weather Starting ??
The temperature this AM was 4 degrees outside when I first tried to start my 98 Explorer with 4.0 SOHC.
It would crank over just fine, but would NOT stay running. Finally, after several attempts at cranking it over, I held the throttle about 1/4 way opened and it stayed running.
My 98 only has 73k miles on it and has been very well maintained. Could the culprit be the gasoline ??
I've used DryGAS in the past with good results, so I put a can of it in my 98 this AM.

Would it be listed on the pumps somewhere ??

Most likely a border line sensor. My 1997 4.0 Ranger use to start in colder weather than that in Maine.
