I have a 00 Expedition XLT im having the oh so common Door Ajar issue but I have lubed the hell out of the doors with wd 40 on more than one event. This has not solved the problem. Im pretty sure it's the rear door or glass because the rear wiper doesn't work when It's on. I have figured out to turn it off I need to open the rear glass and hatch then close the hatch first followed by the glass and that solves it until I turn a corner, and it seems to get worse in cold temps.
Can someone please tell me what fuse to pull out so my inside lights will not come on. Hopefully someone from the Michigan forum will read my post and try to help me out but until then I need to pull the fuse. It was a windchill of -10 this morning and I was out there trying to find it but that was short lived and it will be about the same temp for the rest of the week. If you know what I can look for to try to fix this or know what fuse to pull Please let me know.
You can pull out a 15Amps fuse, fuse number 5 located in the Passenger compartment fuse panel, you can find it below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the panel cover to access the fuses. To remove the fuse use the fuse puller tool provided on the fuse panel cover. This fuse drives the Daytime Running Lamp Relay, it can turn off your lamps. Watch out that this fuse also will disable power for some other electrical modules, so I do not recomment you drive while this fuse is pull out.
