90 Paint problems
I have a 90 Standard cap that looks like an old man with bad dandruff...Does anyone know of a recall coming down? I have seen 100's of late 80's and early 90's fords of all models with the clear coat pealing off...can anyone help???

I have an 89 xlt 2.3L two tone since it was new. The paint on the hood and top of cab began to flake as you describe.
Part of the problem was due to me having to park it outside all of the time. The weather and sun is horrendous on paint.
I took it in to have it painted last year (same colors) for about 700.00. It looks good now.
I don't know about any recalls or such.
Also, I have a TERRIBLE problem with the original black painted chrome around my windshield. I have to repaint every 5-6 months. I wish I knew how to find a permanent cure for this.
