05 wheel offset difference
i have heard things about the offset on the wheels on the 05's. what is the difference on the 05's compared to earlier models. what would happen if i were to put a wheel that fit an 04 on my 05?

Axle width on the '05s is wider from what I understand, so they went to a wheel with more backspacing to keep the wheels from sticking outside of the body.
If you put a stock '04 wheel or a aftermarket wheel with 4.5" of backspacing it would stick out farther on the '05 than it would on the '05.
The wheels I've seen shops putting on '05s have had 5.14-5.62" of backspacing.

I know that Helo and Weld both have wheels with backspacing over 5".....there possibly are more brands now.
Here are some pics of lifted or leveled '05s:
2" lift and 35s
2.5" with 33s
2.5" on 35s and Pic 2
4" on 35s
4" on 35s
6" on 35s
4.5" on 37s
Some are Helo, some look like Welds, obviously the stock ones, and I'm not sure on the others.
Those were trucks that were done by Truck Toyz (1-888-776-8699), they could help you out with any questions you had.
