I have a big problem with my 87 f 250, my tail light fuse keeps blowing everytime i activate it. I have both high and low beams, working correctly including select light on dash, I have brake lights and all turn signals all working correctly including on dash. I tried replacing the switch, no help. i disconnected the rear light harness and still blowing fuses so its not in the tail lights, yes all lights are in working conditions both filiments. I have all the dash indicator lights check engine, 4x4, turns, but no dash lights themselves fuel, oil, temp, etc. Also the radio lights dont work nor do the cigarette lighter lights or the glove box. when i plug a new fuse in and turn it on for a second before it blows the washer indicator light starts to light up but dies with the fuse. I cannot figure out why this light is affected because it is on fuse #10 and the tails are on #4.Also i am pretty sure i had tail lights not that long ago i dont know what could have happened. Please help i need a vehicle. any help would be appreciated.

This is going to be the best way to trouble shoot this problem. Unplug sections of the harness till the fuse does not blow. This circuit spreads out all over the truck, and is the dark brown wire. You need to narrow down where the problem is.
