What Transmission do I have?

Just bought a 99 F150 4.6L V8, and am not sure of the transmission type.

Look in the doorjam on the vin sticker. It will give you an axle code and a tranny code.
Post them and we will let you know.

Transmission type??

I looked in the jamb. The label said 19 under axle but under TR it said U.

I am not sure how to read it.

I have a 2 wheel drive 4.6L V8.

4R70W It should say use Mercron V on the dipstick. Make sure that that is the only type of fluid that you use in it.
