When I purchased my 87 Ranger, the odometer wasnt working (it was a good deal, believe me ). Anyway, the guy said that he changed out the plastic dial near the transmission, but it didnt help. Anyone know how to repair the odometer? Is there something internal in the tranny?
Thanks
Jared

I believe so. I have a 97, but probably the same for yours. I recently got larger tires, and wanted to check into correcting the speed on my speedometer, and the dealership said it would require changing something in the transmission.
