Looking for a wiring diagram for a 2003 F150 Super crew. or can some one tell where to locate the hot wire to Parking brake & the VSS; along with the color code. I found two wire on the parking barke switch. one is grn/w red tracer the other appears to be black. I read no voltage with a test light on either one.
There is no hot wire to the parking brake light switch. The switch grounds the grn/red wire to turn on the light.
When you say VSS are you talking about the sensor on the top of the rear diff?
What kind of problem are you having with the VSS?
Here's what I got going on I have a new stero to install which has a built in Navigation system in it according to the Installation Manual I need to connect a lead from the system to the VSS or the reading would be inaccurate. I also new to connect a lead to the hot wire of the parking brake for another feature ,a rear view camera, which provides a rear view behind your boat ,camper ,etc.
Probably the easiest place to get a VSS signal is at the cruise control servo on the grey/black wire.
I'm not sure why they would want a lead to the hot side of the park brake switch. Can you just hook that one up to any place that has power when the ignition is on?
Well the parking brake issue is solved. does the gray/blk wire show up in the harness along the firewall to a connector on the passenger side of the vehicle.
