Led light help (Wiring)

I need brake only Wire for a LED under the tail Gate. I know on Fords the Turn and brake are the same. I do not want my LED to flash with the turns. where can i get a converter to separate them or where can I find brake only in the truck. Thanks

Solution!

Hi Casey,

I went through the EXACT same problem about two weeks ago installing my LED lights. For a brake only light, there is a LIGHT GREEN wire you can get at from the customer access circuits. The LIGHT GREEN is the circuit for the Center High Mount Stop Light (CHMSL.)

The customer access circuits are located on the rear side the frame under the bed. They will be rolled up in conduit, which you will have to undo (NOT CUT!)

Hope this helps!

Smile Diagram?

If you need a diagram, there's a PDF of it floating around on a Ford website somewhere. I have a printout of the PDF, but I don't remember the web address. Let me look...
