f 250 conv. help
my dad has a 86 club wagon van and a 71 f 250 camper special. well recently the trucks 390 burned a hole in the center of #7 piston.ya well that pretty much put her down for a while. well in the mean time the van has picked up teh dutys of a mule. and well toll has hit her pretty hard. the outside of the van is torn up bad so. my dad decided he wanted to try to make the f250 into a fifth wheeler. so where gonna rip teh motor and trans from the van and well ... drop it into the truck. we havn't ever done this before and want to kinda has a good idea of what we're get'n into. anybody has has done the sorta conversion .. we would like some input. we know the trans on the 390 and 460 are different bell housings and all. we have found several places that supply bolt in engine mount conversion kits and r readily available. plz if ya have ne info or sites u know of let me know
