87 Ranger Noise
My 87 2.9 ltr 4x4 is making a strange noise or vibration when I get the rmps to about 2.5 between each gear change when I push in on the clutch it disappears only to return when the next gear change is needed or right before that gear change. Doesn't seem to do it at high speeds.We had a new clutch and all clutch components put in around 5000 miles ago it that seems to be working fine. Also this truck has a 3" body lift and larger tires I think they are 31.5"x 15. If you could help or suggest what it could be please get back with me. O all fluids were fine.

i have a 90 ranger and it is pretty common for the heat sheild to be viberating on the catylic converter i dont know if this is the sound you are hearing or if it sounds like and engine sound hope this helped
