4x4 shift motor
I took apart my shift motor today cleaned the contacts they were dirty.Ifound the problem .There is a stop with a plastic ring around it.It broke and jammed up the motor.where can i find this pice or do i even need it .also when i took off the motor i marked the position with a marker.When i went to put it back it did not line up.So i took the cover off the gear piece and removed the gear mounted the motor then put the gear back in some what close to its orginal position is this ok . Thanks

Yes you need the piece, but just use a piece of 5/16 fuel line or vacuum hose. Make sure you trim the end to the same level as the top of the metal post or you'll have trouble getting the actuator back together. As for the marks, as long as you're as close to them as possible, it should be okay. When it's assembled and you're ready to go back on the transfer case, you may have to wiggle and rotate somewhat to get the mount bolts to line up.
