I have a chance to get a 2000 grand marquis as a doaner for my '54 f-100. I don't know anything about the car besides it has a 4.6. Is it a sohc or dohc motor? It does not matter I am going to use it anyway, but I can't get at it for another month. I was looking at my ford racing catalog and was surprised to see there was more than one model. I usually hang out in the 47-60 truck forum but i'm sure i will be visiting more often.

 

It is the SOHC version. It will be a bit smaller dimensionally so it will be easier to retrofit into your old truck.
