98 - Brakes (front end)
I have been receiving a high pitched 'shrill' sound when applying my brakes recently and it is never a repeated pattern, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't?. Anyhow I went up to the shop and had the fellas check it out and they said both the front and rear brakes were fine, in excellent condition with plently of wear left on them and there is no need to replace anything front or rear. I'm thinking of doing the old tried & true of the wash and scrub with vinegar method on the front rotors to take any shine and buildup off, does anyone else have another suggestion?. I bought ceramic pads figuring that they might eliminate the noise but like I said, the boys at the shop said there is no need for any replacements at this time so the new pads sit on the shelf in my garage until I finally do need them.
thanks,
Bjack
