She looks like a pretty clean rig. Going to need to address that rust problem before putting in a new bed, but over-all, good little hauler to build up. Sure that's a 67 with tha grill? Looks the same as my 72....thought they only started using the plastic grills after 69, personally, although I could be wrong, and you might have a re-fitted grill from another model year. As far as I know the 67-70 grills(with some exceptions in 70) were the painted or aluminum bar style grills in one peice with no inserts.
thanks guys i like the old truck pretty good.that is a 72 grill on a 67 truck. anyone got a nice grill for it.think im gonna go back with the wooden ded. may wait till it warms up again.OH i found a nice grill at a local garage but the guy wont sell it.ill be making more pics as i go along.
Check e-bay for grills, and grab a good aluminum one if you can, as they look the best IMO. The 67 aluminum grills had thicker cross bars than the later models. I preferred the 69 grills with the thinner cross bars for looks, but the 67 units are more solid. Even if you find a slight bashed one, a good tin basher can straighten that out(plumbing and heating field is where I got my last one straightened) I miss owning my 69, and love this body style the most, but hard to find up here in good condition, without paying through the nose...and sorry I sold my last one. They were the best truck Ford ever made, IMO maybe, but I'll always have a soft spot for the 67-72's. Currently trying to find a decent shape 67 Merc version(Canadian only) shortbox with a 4 speed, if I find one, pics will abound, as many Americans find them hard to believe in existance.
