Replacement side door mirrors
I am looking for replacement side door mirrors for a 92 Ford Ranger. Is there an improved replacement mirror available which will bolt on using the existing mounting points?
The current mirrors will not retain their position once I hit 60+ mph.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Replacement side door mirrors
I had the same problem with the mirrors on my 1989 (windage). I took the mirrors off. 2 screws for each mirror. Under the mounting foot there's a plate riveted. This plate applies a force to a flat spring. The spring applies a force to keep the mirror in place but allows for manual adjustment. I drilled out the rivets, removed the plate and then bent it in a vice or with a hammer so it would compress the spring further, therein provide more holding force. Of cource with the rivets gone I had to drill and tap holes so I could use screws to hold the plate back where it belonged. As a machinist of many years, that was no problem for me. With a properly applied center punch and a hand drill you can do it. Try not to drop the mirror on a concrete floor.
