Tire Chain Questions
Just a few quick questions, as I've never used tire chains on a car/truck, only on farm tractors.
1. Anyone ever try the cable style 'tire chains'? Any success? Any difference with the ones that have little 'washers' across the chains for greater wear resistance?
2. Anyone try chains or cables on an expy? How'd it go?
3. If you were only installing 2, would you put 'em on the front or rear? Why? I was thinking rear so it wouldn't pass me if the front had greater traction, but then I was thinking front for: greater steering, better stopping, and possibly better traction (with the engine up front over the front axle).
4. Any sage general advice on tire chains?
I did a search and found nada.
