I notice a setting for AUX input on my 6disk factory changer. Does anyone know if there are some RCA jacks hanging behind the stereo or dash? I have looked up under the dash and have not seen any. Maybe they are taped up behind stereo?
The last time I checked no one was making a adapter to hook anything up to the aux port on the headunit. So why it is there is any ones guess. It would be nice to use it for sat. radio. Maybe some day.
Just sent them (www.pie.net) an email asking if they support the 2005 Ford's with the OEM 6-CD Changer and Aux...I'll let you all know the answer soon I hope...
The head unit with the in dash 6 cd changer is not yet supported by any of the adapter manufacturers. Every website I have hit has mentioned that they are in the process of developing an adapter.
Thanks for the info, Jim. I'm anxious to get things hooked up. I'll have to keep checking the sites periodically. I guess that's what I get for getting a new truck... Hurry up and wait!
Ford sells a "mobile ease" adapter to integrate a cell phone via "bluetooth" protocols, and they also have their own propitery integration to the vehicles with overhead DVD and or rear controll (Excursions) that use the single or 6 CD head unit "aux" function. The whole set up is propritery and I have been searching for some time for ways to keep my factory HU and steering wheel redundant controls....not looking good.
