recently replaced plugs wires dis cap and rotor now my truck dont fire
get somke and she rollls and sounds like she wants to fire (get the occasional mild fire) but doesnt catch
pretty sure i lined everything up they way it was supposed to go even doubled checked the fireing orders any suggestions? please
Words to live by. My 65 had all the wires shifted like 3 towers back. The friendly #1 marking on the cap could be very misleading. If nothing else works set your #1 to TDC-compression stroke and look where your rotor is pointing in reference to the cap and wire #.
Double check that the cap isn't flipped 180 from how it should be. Had to redo my cousins cap because he put it on backwards. Took and it turned it 180 degrees and it fired off no problem. And he had all the same symptoms as you described.
thnx guys got 'er fixed tonight she runs like a charm when i put the dist back in she went in 4 teeth past where she was supposed to go clockwise just gotta figure out how to re hook up the smog pump next
