Really Need Help??

Ok I have a 91 F-150 straight 6 with manuel 5 spd. I was driving down the road today and the check engine light came on and it stalled. My gas gauge is broke so i thought i was out of gas.. Which i might of been i dunno.. But then i pulled over and my buddy helped me put some gas in it.. didnt start for awhile but finally did after a min. But now it does this stutter sort of thing and is kinda hard to keep at an idol. If anybody could help me out and tell me what this could be or what it is.. i would really apriaciate it.

Thanks a lot

I second the above comments. I'd call around to local parts stores... many of them offer free code reading service. Whoever will read your codes for free deserves for you to buy the fuel filter there.
