brake prob.
Hi, today i slammed on the brakes to make a sudden stop and i noticed that there is now a cliking noise when i slow down or speed up ? The noise is there untill i hit about 20 ? Any help on this would be great, could it be a part problem did i break somthing when i slamed on the breaks ?????? The noise seems to be coming from the left front ? This only happen today after i jammed on the brakes ....2001 ranger xlt 4X4

Well it could be any number of things from the pad catching on the rotar to something that stuck in the pad, to something that has nothing to do with the brake system. You can either take it apart and look for yourself, or go to a a reputiaple shop that has free inspections (most Car-x's do) and have them look for any problems, also if you don't really trust them go and acctually look yourself, my brother saved himself $300 by going to a Car-x and being told a small rock was squeaking not the pads
