Touchy 6 oh!!!

i have an 04, when i drive from my parents house back to school, which takes about 2 hours, i pull into the parking lot of my apartment and when i am about to stop i push in the clutch and then brake at the same time...thats normal but what isnt normal is that somtimes the truck will rev up to like 1100 rpm's and then come back down...it seems to run fine but it is kinda confusing and somtimes embarrassing...i thought it might be from the heat of the motor from the long drive but i dont know....any suggestions?

It should not be from the heat, have you taken it into the dealership....how many miles on it.

Tim, i havent taken it to a dealer because i dont have time to be without the truck...it has 26,589 on it...it doesnt always do it...its just a sometimes thing...when i go on vacation i might have my dad or someone take it in to get looked at...it runs great and i love it but i am a bit nervous about them flashing it...i always thought if it aint broke, dont fix it...i dont want them to flash it to try to fix that and screw up somthin more serious..thanks
