1991 ford explorer

Is there any difference between the radiator for a 91 Explorer automatic 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive vehicle? In other words will it fit in either? Thanks
Bob

Yes, they should be interchangeable providing they are both automatic, or both manual transmissions, and they both have the standard cooling system.

What he said, with the addition of "or if they both have the trailer towing package", although I believe the only difference for the radiator in the towing package is the number of cores. They are interchangable, but the level of cooling will be different (standard vs. heavy duty). I think it's either 2 vs 3 cores or 3 vs. 4. It's been a while.

They will interchange.

You can put a rad from a automatic in to a standard just block off the cooling line connections. You can not got the other way unless there are provisions for the auto Trans cooling lines.
