Quick Help!
I just have a basic quick question. I like to change my own oil because it's cheaper. I normally put 10w-30 in my Ford but I went to NAPA auto parts and they recommended that I use 5w-20. I have a 94' f150 with the inline 6 engine....Could 5w-20 be right?

I have a 92 F150 with the same engine. My owners manual says either 10W-30 or 5W-30 depending on the typical weather. I just bought a shop manual and all it says to use is 5W-30. It doesn't say anything else. That's all I know. I wonder why NAPA would have an opinion. Possibly some counter guy who is feeling a little big for his britches.
