i'm building a 1987 ranger with a 2.3 liter fuel injected mustang engine.. i know that the wiring is different and all but will it work if taken to a shop and wired up? i mean theres nothing wrong with the motor at all.. just curious as if this would work.. no sense in letting a good motor and truck body go to waste right?

no reason it shouldn't work. just as long as the transmission and bellhousing will bolt up. alot of rangers came with a 2.3l fuel injection. i'm the proud owner of 89' ranger custom 4x4 that has a 2.3l in it.

well.. i know all of that will match up.. its all coming out of the same car, now the concern is will my crossmember for my transmission work with the mustang tranny? it appears that it will.. but i'm not sure i want to be sure enough that way i'll have the money to spend on extra parts as they become needed
