Quick question...
How do I get the torque converter bolt lined up with the hole in the bell housing? I have bumped the motor over for a half hour and can't get the bolt to stop in the right place. Had my girlfriend bumping the starter and me watching for it to come around, it would fly by and I would never get it. What's the secret????

You could use a screw driver it the teeth of the ring gear and pry if possible. Sometimes you can grab the converter with your hands and turn it. Or put a socket on the pulley up front..

Socket on the pully might work, I am used to the old Chevys that you could put the pry bar up there and pull the fly wheel around, there is no way to do that on this thing, I can just barley feel the teeth on the fly wleel, the bell housing covers up the damn thing. I am starting to think I could bump this thing for days and never get it...

I am dumb!!! I went out and put a pipe wrench on the pullie and spun the motor, took 2 seconds with the girlfriend watching for the bolt, wish I would have thought of that before I bump started it 30 times...

If you have a long pick or hook tool you might be able to go behind the flywheel and grab a TC stud and pull it down to the flywheel hole. Even a piece of stiff wire or coat hanger will work also
