Anyone have the F150 FX4 screw with the "fake" leather seats? My truck only has 6500 mi and the driver seat is already showing horrible wear and tear. I guess if the window sticker says "leather" that gives ford the right to sell you cheap vinyl. Does anyone else have this problem or did I just get taken?
What part of the seats are in terrible shape? The leather sections or the vinyl? On my window sticker, Ford carefully called the seats on my SuperCab FX4's flo-thru console captain's chairs "leather trim". The dealer also stated that the seat is mostly vinyl with some leather panels that your body contacts when you are seated. He's right. I can measure maybe 225 square inches of real leather on each chair bottom (I think the backs are all vinyl). That's the equivelent of a piece of leather 15" X 15" on each seat. The use of the word "trim" is accurate, IMO. Also, on the Scab, there is all vinyl in the rear seating area. The center bottom section of the front seats are non-perforated vinyl. There are no real vent holes in them, despite the look. The seating vinyl appears to be of good quality, and cleans easily. For me it's much better than cloth seating. Good luck.

Ok I will have to check the sticker again but, are your seats wearing where you slide out of the truck.
That part will get the most wear, I guess. I have only 5500 miles, and I would say that part has gotten more supple like leather normally gets after use. I wouldn't call them worn, though. Any leather product changes with use over time: saddles, boots, seats, sofas, etc. If the truck sits in a dry, hot climate, treat the leather parts more often with a good conditioner. If yours is splitting, cracking or coming apart already, by all means at least have your dealer write it up, so you have good documentation later on ...... Good luck.
