i have seen a couple that were made into convertibles, not the best looking trucks i have ever seen. even saw one that was made into a roadster, [no top at all], the body lines just dont lend them selves to that configuration.
to do it right you would have to do a lot of bracing in the cab corners front and rear. the top is part of the stress structure of the cab, removing it will cause the firewall and cab back to want to meet in the middle. might have a little trouble opening the doors after a drive around the block!
how about a roll back canvas roof? like on older VW bugs and vans. you wouldn't be taking from any structural support, it is real trick, and no one (that I have seen) has done it on a 67-72 ford truck. then add to that a custom lowering rear glass. put a slick hard tonneau cover, slap some paint matched surf boards on a rack on top of that. Slam it to the pavement (bagged and draggin' tail) riding on some 18" halibrands,I am thinking silvery blue frost with some slick waves down the sides. man I am getting enthused about this, I am gonna build a model of it!!!
