Performance Products

I was looking for some info on some performance products for the 1999 7.3 PSD. My friend is looking to get his did something for his truck but is stuck on what to get him. He doesnt want to spend more that about $500. I told him to get the Preditor Plug-In programmer because I had heard good things about it.

What would you guys say would give him the best BANG for his buck? He wants something that is easy to install and use, but will also give tremendous HP/TQ gains. Also somthing that can be easily taken off if he doesnt really like it.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Keith

You might want to tell your friend to give his dad a set of gauges with the predator or else that $400 Predator may cause his dad a $9000 motor.

You may be able to get a package deal with gauges and a programer for under $500.

The thing is, his dad would never use it on the highest setting, he would have it on low/tow mode. He doesnt drive hard, hes old , but he does tow a backhoe alot.

Exactly why you need an EGT gauge - at the very least. It's just the safe way to do things!

CAT was a bit quicker. So obviously i second him, but if he has the auto, you definatly need that tranny temp guage as well.

He pulls a goose neck with a back hoe on it pretty regularly. He has ruined/worped his brakes quite a few times. Im sure he wont want to fool with all the wiring involved in gauges.

Maybe the Programmer is not such a good idea
