Exhaust Help Please
I drive a 2000 F-250 Super Duty with the 6.8 liter V-10 I've been told there is nothing I can do to the exhaust on a V-10 because it has a sound of it's on. Pleease tell me there is something I can do to make it sound a little more mean. Help me somebody PLEASE

Nope....nothing to make it sound mean. I have a 03' SD V10 and put the banks kit on it....you know headers, new Y-pipe, muffler, and tailpipe........sounds better but not mean. I swapped out the banks muffler for a FM 70 series and it sounds better. The note of the exhaust has completely changed. In the upper RPM ranges it is very powerful sounding......at idle it has a very V8 sound......but between 1500 and 2500 RPM's.....well you know very ricer sounding, but not exactly.....I do like the way it sounds now.....but at times it does sound silly.......trial and error is what I did.
But there is not much out there to make the V10 sound really good. Mostly different. But it is all in what sounds good to you.
