well the thing is they know its illegal and so do i but im not really that worried about it. so they figure theyll do whatever i want but they aernt gonna give me a receipt for them cutting of my cats that way nothing can be traced back to them. besides doing it myself i dont really have any other options than to let them do it and not get a receipt for it.

I actually found a place down in South San Diego that will do it. South San Diego is the ghetto. I don't know if they were acting stupid on the phone or if they really didn't know it was illegal.

I'd just rather get my normal muffler guy to do it, since i know he does good work with the bender and welder. Plus he drinks beer and watches VHS movies like Time Cop in the back shop.

Everywhere else like Indiana where homer is from you have people who just dont give a ****. But in SoCal, emissions are a pain!! And we don't have the country people to worry about, it's like Boyz In The Hood in some places. They don't care about emissions though, cuz "six-fo's" don't have cats. It's like being in a rap video.

Just kidding, i live in the northside. it's not so bad here, much more suburban

I like loud trucks and all, as well as the next guy, but I grew up in the late 60s and 70s when the environment was a big deal and smog was a REAL problem. I'm not an extreme environmentalist by any means. But, if enough shops "break the rules" we will be right back where we were 30 years ago...very polluted.

What an individual does to his/her own truck is his/her own business, as long as he/she doesn't get caught. But, you can get LOUD without contributing more to pollution. That's all I'm saying.

cheers.

I agree. You can go without a muffler, and dump it. You can get a flowtech warlock, or you can do either of those with high-flow cats.

Hell, get 2 high flow cats, and true duals with no mufflers.

Having been there, eliminating the muffler and going cats only with a y-pipe to get "fake" duals out the back, made more of a "roar" than I wanted.
I wore on me and I went back to a single-in/dual-out MelloTone muffler.
It suits me fine.

Who gives a rats *** about the environment. Honestly do you think if 4.2Lbeast cuts his cats it will deplete the ozone layer and DESTROY the universe. Then enabling marshons to take complete control of the Earth??!?!?!

Blowing things out of proportion alot...I love it haha

Personally, I thought it was a very reasonable post.

according to the discovery channel, the roar of a gerbil is a menacing one, not to be reckoned with.
