Ok Guys, It seems I have a leak somewhere! I was warming up the truck one morning anad noticed a bit of diesel on the drive-way. Its coming down on the passenger side near the rear of the engine. Someone at work mentioned it may be the Fuel Heater Sensor? Im in the dark on diesel engines, I can work on gasa engines all day. So if anyone has any idea what may be causing this let me know so I can start driving her again!!
Here is my trucks info:
94 1/2 F250, 7.3L PS, Full open 4" exhaust. The exhaust is the only mod so far.
Thanks in advance! I'm hoping to get her fixed before X-mas So I can Drive back home to Louisiana on military leave!
Probably leaking at, or around the filter assembly on top of the motor and pooling up in the engine valley until it can run out the drain hole in the passenger side rear.
i was just about to post something else....i did a aserch after i posted, i know bass akwards, but someone mentioned fuel pump is bad....it wouldnt run if that was the case right?
i bet its the fuel return lines at the back of the head leaking. If the engine valley is dry i bet its that. its like $5 for the orings for both lines. when mine started doing it, it was worse when it was cold then when it warmed up it didnt leak. if you can have someone help if you run the truck to wide open throttle then let off you can usually see it squirt out. or if they use uv dye in the red diesel back there get some of that and run it and use a black light to find it.
great thanks guys, my buddy works at a bmw mechanic shop and just said we can take it in on saturday and go through al the things you guys talked about! hOPEFULLY I will be driving her home to see tha family in 2 weeks. Thanks again
