Replaced everything listed above, running codes showing only 12 and 13...both self test rpm control. My truck is still running very rich, no pickup. It feels as if it's only 1/3 the original power. 87 B II 2wd 2.9 Not off timing, just runs like junk when I'm applying a load to the engine. Has anyone ever had a similar problem??? If so the help you could lend would be greatly appreciated. This is my sole means of transportation and I am needing it fully operational by Tuesday at the latest. Thanks guys!!
no gas in fpr vacuum, haven't tested fuel pressure yet. What should fuel pressure run at operational temp/rpm? Also, should I clean my MAF sensor???Thanks again mrshorty!
KOEO, fuel pressure should come up to about 40 psig. When the engine starts, engine vacuum should drop the pressure several pounds, but not much below 30 psig.
Should you clean you MAF sensor? From the factory, '87 2.9's didn't come with MAF sensors, so there likely isn't one to clean. If you find a MAF, then we need to figure out exactly what engine, etc you have, because it isn't the stock configuration.
Maybe I should look again, but I thought that was what I saw right before the throttle body. Thanks for the specs again. Oh yea, and how about cleaning the throttle body???
