Front drive axel replacement
I managed to break bolth sides of the axel yoke's and ruin a u-joint
You can say it's all (FUBAR) ya know?
I've never removed the front hubs or spindles on my 90 bronco Eb, but I have
on cars and Ect. (non 4x4)
So is there any pointers or tricks you can add would be great if you have done it before I have read quite a bit of forums on other opinions, and know
once I get in to it i'll be able to figure it out
But being an FTE member for 5 yrs. I know everytime I ask for opinions on here it makes the project go better-- Plus it adds Bronco knowledgd to my mind!
Thanks.....Jeff

1) jack up the left side, and secure it with a jack stand.
2) pull the wheel
3) you'll have to remove the cap off of the lockout (if you have auto hubs, hopefully someone else will join in)
4) take the snap ring off of the axle shaft
5) take the snap ring off of the inside of the hub (it is hard to see, but you can pry it out with a small screwdriver or pick)
6) slide the whole locking hub out of the hub.
7) using a 4 prong dana 44 spindle nut socket, remove the outer lock nut
8) remove the small locking washer
9) remove the inner spindle nut
10) remove the caliper and hang it out of the way (don't leave it hang by the hose though!!)
11) remove the rotor and hub
12) remove the 5 bolts on the spindle
13) use a dead blow hammer or a piece of wood and a small sledge and beat the crap out of the spindle back and forth until you can get a screw drive or prybar in between the spindle and knuckle to pry it out. use a lot of wd40 / pb-blaster.
14) pull the axle shaft
pickup a chiltons manual for extra info, they are only $10-20.
