As a relatively new owner, I am learning as I go.
I have been noticing that after startup my voltmeter reads kinda low (but well within the "normal" limits) then after about a half aminute or more, it kicks up to slightly past midrange.
My question and/or presumption is this: The glow plugs are still operating for a period of time even after startup?.?.
Seems like a logical deduction, just hoping for confirmation.
I am a high school shop teacher (small engines) and this diesel stuff fascinates me! I have learned more in the last month reading the posts on this forum than I did in 5 years of college!
Thanks fellas (and ladies)

Does anyone know if there are two different barometric sensors available for these trucks? One for a truck originally delivered to a low altitude zone and one for a truck originally delivered to a high altitude zone? My glow plugs always stay on for a long period of time, regardless of outside temp or engine temp until I get to an elevation lower than where I live (at least 6000ft and lower). My truck was originally delivered to Post, TX, so I'm sure its not running the high altitude package.
I have never heard of a different barametic sensor, i realy don't think it would matter, it not so much the air pressure, but the air temp that tells them when to activate.
